Callous and Vengeful
Dr. Erhart is a Pediatrician who works in a group called Physicians Associates in Ocoee, Fl. He is a very poor choice for any child's doctor. He told me in front of my 10 year old daughter that she may have cancer after we brought her in because she had clavicular lymph nodes that developed as a result of a rare scalp infection. She was in tears and I was LIVID and utterly speechless because I could not believe that a doctor of children could be as heartless and cruel as this man to broadcast something of that magnitude in my daughter's presence with such indifference. My belief is that he was attempting to punish me for showing up in his office for an unscheduled appointment even though I explained to him that I was instructed to do so by his after-hours staff. My daughter has suffered significant hair loss, excruciating pain and embarrassment and was relying on this doctor to reassure her, but yet his words devastated her. His reply to me was simply "I didn't know she was so sensitive." He knew exactly what kind of response his words would elicit. Needless to say, I have made a formal complaint to my insurance company and to DOH. My hope is that he will seriously think about what he says and to whom because it may wind up costing him more than a few patients.
