Bad service, such a dissapointment
Went to Buca for my 25th birthday after a really rough year. Wanted to go somewhere nice, never have been let down before. DO NOT get served by MICHAEL. Even though we had been before, he gave us the tour of the kitchen. When we ordered drinks, I pointed out that it was my birthday, and he commented that it was everyone's birthday in this particular room. He kept winking at my boyfriend throughout the meal. Was not very attentive. Never asked if we wanted more drinks. Sang Happy Birthday and gave cake to the other two tables in the room. Gave us the check and nothing else. Food was good as usual, service really sucked. Reported our experience to the front counter and they tried to make up for it by giving us cake and a gift card. We were planning on returning for a graduation, but now we will be seeking other plans. Buca really let us down. They need to be more discerning when hiring wait staff.

This is a weird review. I have never dined at this restaurant but I have heard rave reviews from so many people of all income levels that I have to believe that it has something for everyone.

Not that great
Truth be told, I wasn't very impressed with this place - especially at these prices! I found the food to be quite average, sometimes even boring, and with the build-up it was all that much more disappointing. If you do go, be sure to go with a large group. When they say Family Style dining they mean it! Even the "single-serve" portions were huge! So bring a lot of people or be prepared to have a ton of left overs.

Good Family Restaurant
I really love their marinana sauce. The environment is boisterous which makes this a great place to be loud. The food is usually prepared perfectly, even though I have had at least one dish that didn't impress me. I love going there!

Good place to go with family
I have been to the restaurant several times with both family and friends and it is definitely better with family. This is a family style restaurant which means the portions are larger than normal and easy to share- although they do have single serving portions as well. The menu has been a little updated and they removed the shrimp scampi which is too bad because it was one of the better items. Last time we ordered the large calamari and it wasn't any bigger than a normal calamari order at any other restaurant. The bread is so good and they give you olive oil to dip it in. I also really have enjoyed the salads as well as the cheesey bread.

Lots of good food for a good price.
Great for the kids or just the two of you not very romantic but this resturant is not desigined for that.You feel like your at grandmas.

Go Hunrgy
This place is a fun filled place with all the pictures on the wall. Kids love the fact that you get to go thru the kitchen. The food is outstanding and the amount of food well let's just there is enought to feed a small army.
